Within CPS Radio Management,
Wi-Fi Programming allows for wireless reading or writing of codeplug data and firmware updates.
The Read or Write communication event (see Schedule
a Job) is possible over a Wireless Network (WLAN).

To use Radio Management in programming radios via Wi-Fi, perform the following steps:
1. Set up an Operational Wi-Fi Access Point
2. Connect a Device Programmer (DP) to the operational Wi-Fi access point
3. Add radios to Radio Management via the Radio Management Client (RMC). (see Adding a New Radio to Radio Management) 4. Schedule a read job for the radios via RMC (see Schedule a Job window) 5. Configure the CPS Wi-Fi related fields to enable Wi-Fi programming
Please refer to The Wi-Fi Page for more information regarding these fields. b. For recommendations regarding the Wi-Fi setup, please refer to the Recommended Procedure for Radio Management Over Wi-Fi. 6. Schedule a write job for the radios via RMC (see Schedule a Job window)
7. Connect each radio to the Device Programmer (DP) via USB cable to program the radio. After the programming is complete, you can connect the radio to the Wi-Fi hotspot.

If you experience any difficulties accessing a radio during a Wi-Fi operation, depending on your network's firewall configuration, you can manually add the Motorola CPS application to the firewall's exception list. |
